1. Phosphene.
The phosphene corresponds to the sense of sight.
2. Acouphene.
The acouphene corresponds to the sense of audition.
3. Gustatophene.
The gustatophene corresponds to the sense of taste and chewing.
In the monasteries, monks eat silently while a brother reads a text.
The host also allows the production of great gustatophenes, its taste lingering for long.
(Remember the sensation of a taste and observe the evolution of your thoughts – Memories connected to food).
4. Pneumophene.
The pneumophene is related to the act of breathing.
5. Osteophene.
The osteophene is provoked by the vibration of the skeleton.
6. Myophene.
The myophene is related to muscular activity. Cenesthesian sensations, sensations of movement (movement of rotation of an arm, followed by the observation of the cenesthesian sensation).
7. Gyrophene.
This phene corresponds to the sense of balance, which center is located in the inner ear. It is this phene that produces the subjective sensation of moving or floating.
Unusual perception of space : feeling one's body beyond the usual spatial body scheme, with the impression of being larger than the limits of the body, towards the infinitely big and sometimes towards the infinitely small. There can also be a rhythmic pulsation of consciousness, oscillating between the infinitely big and the infinitely small, sways and the sensation of floating.
8. Olfactophene.
This phene corresponds to the sense of smell.
In sacred places of worship, incense is used to stimulate the phene of the sense of smell.
(remember the sensation of a smell and observe the evolution of your thoughts – memories, images, perceptions of the smell of perfumes).
9. Tactuphene.
This phene corresponds to the sense of touch.
The subjective sensation of a tactile perception, this first to manifest itself is the perception of the double: the sensation of being contained in « something » that is not physical, a kind of very pleasant cotony cocoon. Then, during out of body experiences, the perception of the ground, of objects. These are genuine sensations of touch.
10. The subjective perception of time.
Certain experiences occur beyong the normal perception of time. Often, the experiences seem to last less than their actual duration. For example, an hour and a half session can be perceived as it lasted three quarters of an hour. Sometimes, an experiences seems to take place over a long period of time, when it has only lasted a few seconds of real time. This latter aspect mainly occurs in a state of half-sleep.
Each phene is a physiological intermediary between the physical sense to which it corresponds and an equivalent spiritual sense that, once awakened, allows the perception of intangible energies, events or universes, i.e. Which cannot be perceived by the physical senses.
When the phenic system is stimulated, it provokes the perception of the spiritual planes, that traditions call « beyond », « invisible worlds », or « subtle planes ».
There is an equivalent of the phosphene in all the other physical senses, as well as in the sense of balance, the properties of the skeleton, muscular activity, breathing and the perception of time.
All these phenes, and probably others which have not been detected yet (such as the phene of the voice which could be constituted by auditory thinking) are, of course, connected to each other. This is why, if a particular phene is stimulated, sensations connected to another phene can be perceived.
Moreover, there is a third sensory system, that until now has been called "psychic centers" or chakras. This system is connected to the phenic system. This third sensory system is linked to consciousness. It is possible that, in a way, these psychic centers or chakras are the organs of consciousness.

THE PHOSPHENE:
A multi-colored patch, that persists in the field of vision for 3 minutes, in the dark, after having focused on a source of light for 30 seconds.
The term "phosphene" derives from the Greek word "phainein", which means "to appear", but also "to shine". In 1838, the Naturalist Lelorgne de Savigny used it to name a variety of glow worms. The Physiologist Venzac used it to describe the spontaneous sensations of light.
Doctor LEFEBURE created the term "Phosphenism"® from the word "phosphene". The origin of this term comes from the Greek word "phos", meaning "light", reminding of Phoebus, the Sun.

THE 11 KEY WORDS OF PHOSPHENISM:
Phosphenic Mixing: consists in associating to a phosphene a thought, visual, auditory, that has been prepared in advance.
Post-phosphene: it is the multicolored patch that persists in the field of vision, in the dark, for three minutes after having focused on a source of light during thirty seconds. Phosphenic Mixing consists in associating a thought, visual or auditory, prepared in advance to a phosphene.
Co-phosphene: it is the multicolored patch that persists in the field of vision, in the dark, for three minutes, after focusing on a source of light.
Cerebral alternation: corresponds to the alternating work of the cerebral hemispheres as Dr LEFEBURE has demonstrated in his book « Exploring the Brain with the Oscillations of the Double Phosphenes ». The phosphenic techniques allow to restore the balance between the hemisphere and thus to increase cerebral abilities as a whole.
Point of concentration: it is the visualization that accompanies all the exercises. It is all the luminous mental images that tend towards the infinitely small: a dot of light, a small sun, the flame of a candle...
Visual chaos (or aura): it is what we perceive in full darkness or, in certain case, with the eyes open. It is a variety of phosphene. It is constituted of milky patches or sparks that are almost imperceptible. Practicing hunting for details in the visual chaos will allow you to organize ti and, with a bit of practice, to trigger a genuine inner cinema.
Diffuse glow: it is the final phase of the phosphene. It is much paler than the others, slightly grainy and of a milky grey.
Phosphenic salt: in a acido-basic reaction, there is the production of a salt. Dr LEFEBURE uses this metaphor to show that Phosphenic Mixing, by mixing a phosphene and a thought produces a new compound. One can notice this by entering a room where a workshop of Phosphenism has been conducted. The energy of the room is very intense and can almost be touched.
Phenic system: it is the whole of the phenes, i.e. The whole of the physiological intermediaries between the physical senses and the equivalent spiritual senses which, once awakened, produce the perception of intangible energies, events or universes i.e. which cannot be perceived by the physical senses.
When the phenic system is stimulated, it provokes the perception of the spiritual planes, that traditions call « beyond », « invisible worlds », or « subtle planes ».
There is an equivalent of the phosphene in all the other physical senses, and also in the sense of balance, muscular activity, breathing, a phene related to the skeleton and the perception of time.
Rhythmic thinking: consists in repeating a same thought in a rhythmic manner. Rhythm structures thoughts and allow to obtain the amplification and the addition of cerebral energies. That is why, all the exercises of Phosphenic Mixing are practiced at a particular rhythm. The Mantratron, the Alternophone, the Synchrophone are devices that allow to work at a precise rhythm.
Rhythmo-Phosphenism: it is the profound study of Initiatory techniques. The latter, through the increase of cerebral rhythms and intense energies, provoke extensions of consciousness. Through fantastic experiences, everyone will discover that they have the possibility to access an inner universe that used to be reserved to a chosen few. A detailled and deep study of the phenomena and the initiatory experiences will allow you to discover the foundation of an ancient universal knowledge.
